Epps Photography understands you may have concerns about your privacy whilst on the internet. We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our website visitors; this policy sets out how we will treat your personal information. The privacy policy is set out below to comply with information disclosure obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

(2) What information do we collect?
We may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal information:
(a) information about your computer and about your visits to and use of this website (including your IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views and website navigation);
(b) information relating to any transactions carried out between you and us on or in relation to this website, including information relating to any purchases you make of our goods or services (including your full name, email address, contact number, residential address and any other information your provide through our contact forms).

3) How long do we keep your personal information for?
We will only retain your personal information for the minimum time that is necessary. We immediately delete data that we no longer have use for. Any personal information provided via a contact form that results in a booking will be stored for five years and then disposed of and erased on our system. For some purposes such as our business accounting obligations, this length of time will be determined by legislation.

The information is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables the web server to identify and track the web browser. We may use both “session” cookies and “persistent” cookies on the website. We will use the session cookies to: keep track of you whilst you navigate the website. We may use the persistent cookies to enable our website to recognise you when you visit. Session cookies will be deleted from your computer when you close your browser. Persistent cookies will remain stored on your computer until deleted, or until they reach a specified expiry date. We use Google Analytics to analyse the use of this website. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies, which are stored on users’ computers. The information generated relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of the website. Google will store this information. For example, in Internet Explorer you can refuse all cookies by clicking Tools, Internet Options, Privacy, and selecting “Block all cookies” using the sliding selector. Blocking all cookies will, however, have a negative impact upon the usability of many websites. We also use Facebook Pixel which is an analytics tool that helps us measure the effectiveness of our advertising. We can use the Facebook pixel to understand the actions people are taking on our website and reach different audiences. Personal information submitted to us via this website will be used for the purposes specified in this privacy policy or in relevant parts of the website.

Information that we collect may be stored and processed in and transferred between any of the countries in which we operate in order to enable us to use the information in accordance with this privacy policy. In addition, personal information that you submit for publication on the blog (e.g. comments) will be published on the internet and may be available, via the internet, around the world. We cannot prevent the use or misuse of such information by others. You expressly agree to such transfers of personal information.

We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.

We protect our databases with various physical, technical and procedural measures and we restrict access to your information by unauthorised persons.  Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

All information transmitted through eppsphotography.co.uk is stored on our secure server. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, which is the electronic commerce standard for securing information as it travels over the Internet. SSL technology is designed to encrypt your information, preventing any unauthorised party from viewing and downloading your information. Your web browser should display a web address with an "https" prefix, indicating that the SSL technology is operating when using certain portions of our website. Of course, data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet. ​

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

You may instruct us to provide you with any personal information we hold about you. Provision of such information will be subject to the supply of appropriate evidence of your identity (for this purpose, we will usually accept a photocopy of your passport certified by a solicitor or bank plus an original copy of a utility bill showing your current address).
We may withhold such personal information to the extent permitted by law.
You may instruct us not to process your personal information for marketing purposes by email at any time. In practice, you will usually either expressly agree in advance to our use of your personal information for marketing purposes, or we will provide you with an opportunity to opt-out of the use of your personal information for marketing purposes. You may instruct us to remove your data from our system at any time, providing this does not clash with our business accounting obligations we will do so immediately.
