Plan a wedding in under a year!

Many couples want to get married as soon as they are engaged however the planning process can be quite daunting. If you are wanting to have your wedding within the next year, we have come up with some tips to help you achieve this!

Wedding planning can feel like a mammoth task but you don't want it to be a stressful experience. Planning a wedding within a year, does tend to ease stress a little, depending on the way you look at it! If you are set on a date, you don't have the time to go over all the options. You need to trust your gut & choose what you would like straight away. This can be a massive weight lifted off you, as you don't spend months sweating the small stuff.

Set a budget

First things first, set yourself an achievable budget for your wedding! Prioritise what is of more significance to you and your partner. There is no 'wrong way' to spend money, if its important to you, make sure you include it. If you & your partner are musical, make sure you book a good band! If food is life, spend a little extra on the caterer you want.

Select a weekday wedding

Depending on the venue you are after, it may be booked out for the next year or two! An easy way around this, is to have a midweek wedding. Chances are they will have some dates remaining, you may choose from. If you're lucky, they may even have a discount on offer.

Set a theme

Many couples know the theme of their wedding before they are engaged and others wouldn't know where to start. Pinterest & Instagram are great platforms for you to spend some time scrolling through, finding what you like & what suits you as a couple! Once you determine your theme, it will be easier to plan your day & book suppliers.

Book your suppliers

The list may be smaller due to availability but this makes decisions easier! There are so many different suppliers in Cheshire, you are bound to find one you want at your wedding. I know that wedding photographers are usually the second thing a couple will book. Some Cheshire wedding photographers are booked out for the next 2 years but again, having a weekday wedding will increase your chances of booking an amazing Cheshire wedding photographer. There are some great sites out there to help you find suppliers who suit your needs. If you are struggling check out Add to Event or Bidvine.

Send save the dates

You want to share your wedding with those you love so make sure you get those save the dates out as soon as possible. If you're planning a wedding in less than 6 months, ditch the save the dates & send the invites instead. Looking for a cheap & easy solution? Why not create a free website, in which guests can view all your wedding details & RSVP. You can do this through WIX
