Peter & Rachel

Rachel & Peter are both from Cheshire. Rach has spent most of her life living just outside Knutsford with a couple of stints living in London & a year spent in France & Italy. She’s a language specialist, speaking fluent French and Italian.

Pete grew up just outside Nantwich in a small village called Ravensmoor. He works in jewellery sales & is passionate about nature and the outdoors & is never happier than when he’s in the Scottish mountains (with Rach of course!). He can ride a unicycle, walk a tightrope & solve a Rubik’s cube in under three minutes - all things which don’t impress Rach!

They met when a mutual friend Kate decided to set them up on a blind date. Pete picked Rach up from her parent’s house where she was living at the time & went into Knutsford. They hit it off & within six weeks they were driving round Europe together in Pete’s Audi TT. They have been together for just under four years.

I knew for a long time that I would ask Rach to marry me but I wanted to wait for the right time. I kept trying to put her off the scent and said that I was going to wait at least a decade before I asked her and I had no idea that she believed me! It really was a shock for her when I popped the question. We went to the Lake District to celebrate Rach’s birthday and the day after her birthday I dragged her up a Lakeland fell called Gowbarrow in the North Lakes. When we were on top I got down on one knee and asked the question. Fortunately she said yes pretty quickly and we enjoyed the panoramic views of Ullswater and beyond.

The thing I like most about Rach is her unwavering positivity and enthusiasm. Her happiness and love of life is infectious.

The thing I most love about Pete is his sense of adventure and spontaneity. 

We are getting married in June this year on an island on Lake Garda and we cannot wait! We’re driving down to Italy for the wedding and we’re going on an epic road trip around Europe as our mini-moon and then the following January we’re going to New Zealand for our proper honeymoon.

As Pete & Rach both grew up in Cheshire, I thought a lovely Nantwich engagement shoot was perfect! They were both very photogenic & clearly in love, that made my job very easy.
