On the 17th of August I had the pleasure of capturing Izzie & Rich's wonderful Dorfold Hall wedding. Every single detail had been planned to perfection!
I started the day at Dorfold Hall photographing Izzie with her nearest & dearest getting ready. We then headed into Nantwich were Izzie & Rich tied the knot in St Marys Church. After a few group shots in Nantwich we were on our way to celebrate at Dorfold Hall with all their loved ones. Enough about the day, lets hear a little more about the story of the now, Mr & Mrs Broughton.
We met at Sixth form in 2005, but didn’t officially get together until 2011, after a night out for my 22nd birthday in Chester. A couple of days after, Rich asked me if he could take me out to celebrate properly, so we met for a drink (or five) at the local bar in Hoole. Since then we’ve lived in 4 different houses, moved on to new jobs and acquired a badly-behaved but lovable husky named Harry (whom I think both of us love more than each other). We’ve lived in Wistaston for over 5 years now, and two years after buying our house I brought home a brooch that had belonged to my great grandmother, hoping to have it made into a ring. It dawned on me that if I was going to have such a special and sentimental ring, why not have it as my engagement ring (cue the first of several hints to Rich for a proposal). Rich took the brooch, hung onto it for a while (possibly in the hope that I’d forget about it) and then had it made into an insanely beautiful ring which he proposed with in January 2018 while away for the week after New Year in Yorkshire. Fast-forward to the 17th August this year, 8 years to the day since our first date in Chester, and we were getting married 5 minutes down the road from where we first met.
