The past year has been a rollercoaster for the wedding industry. With the industry still in uncertain times the roadmap has provided some hopeful news to the end of lockdown & the beginning of weddings for 2021.

The limit on numbers will be gradually lifted in stages from March to June.

6 guests permitted from 29th March 15 guests permitted from 12th April 30 guests permitted from 17th May No restrictions from 21st June

Whilst the roadmap provides a positive outlook for the return of weddings these dates are provisional . Before progressing into the next stage, the Government will assess the data. All stages are contingent on five weeks of positive changes & meeting of the Governments 4 tests. So what are the 4 tests?

  1. The vaccine rollout continues successfully

  2. Clear evidence showing the effectiveness of the vaccine in reducing hospitalisation and death

  3. Infection rates do not surge & there is no increase in hospitalisations

  4. The Government determine the assessment of risk has not changed

Although weddings will be different for some time, the roadmap provides an optimistic outlook for the rest of 2021. We can't wait to get back to photographing weddings & being part of your special day!
